After more than fifty years of practicing medicine, I am writing to share the bittersweet news that I have made the decision to retire from the practice of medicine.

It has been an extraordinary privilege to serve as your physician over the years. Whether I have cared for you for ten years or twenty years or even longer, I have always considered it much more than a job. I have been fortunate to care for people who became not only patients, but also friends. I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the opportunity to be part of your lives.

This was not an easy decision. Over the past several years, my wife and I have experienced the loss of family members and dear friends. Those experiences have reminded us of the importance of appreciating the time we have and making the most of the years ahead. After more than five decades of practicing medicine, I feel that the time has come to devote more time to my family, particularly my practically perfect grandchildren.

I am pleased to share that the transition will be seamless, and much of what you value about our practice will remain unchanged. Donna Griffin, PA and Kathy Janus, FNP will continue providing excellent care, along with the rest of our staff.

I am also pleased to announce that Dr. Chris Wozniak will serve as the Medical Director of the practice following the transition this fall. Dr. Wozniak is an experienced, board-certified family medicine physician who shares our commitment to putting patients first and providing thoughtful, preventive, high-quality care. He has lived and practiced in the Triangle for over 14 years and is familiar with the hospitals and healthcare resources in our community. He has taken the time to get to know our providers and staff, including Donna and Kathy, and we believe he is an excellent fit for our practice. I am confident that Dr. Wozniak will provide the leadership and continuity necessary to ensure that you continue to receive the high-quality, personalized care you have come to expect from our practice. Millenium Physician Group of NC, PLLC ("MPG") will assume ownership and operation of the practice as of October 30, 2026, and is committed to supporting our providers, staff, and patients throughout the transition. MPG is a well-established medical practice that has a demonstrated commitment to putting patients first and providing thoughtful, preventative, high-quality care.

Should you wish to select professional medical care outside of Millenium Physician Group, please contact your insurance company to select a new primary care provider. At your request, we will transfer your records to an outside provider of your choice, and you can start the process by requesting an Information Release Authorization form at 919.846.9292.

Thank you for the trust you have placed in me throughout my career and for allowing me the privilege of caring for you and your families. It has been an honor to have you as part of my life, and I will always be grateful for the relationships I have formed through this practice.
